Hello and welcome to 4th grade!  We are looking forward to a wonderful year.  We hope you find this website to be useful as we work together to create a great learning environment for our kids!

We have very high expectations of our students! We expect consistently appropriate behavior, with the following five being key:

1. EFFORT - students must put forth effort in all areas. This is critical to your success in school (and life in general!). We realize that there are times when things get tough, but we're expecting everyone to try their very best and never give up!

2. RESPECT - every person in our classroom deserves to be treated with respect. We expect everyone in the classroom to use appropriate language, show compassion and care for one another, and treat others fairly and with dignity. No exceptions.

3. RESPONSIBILITY - every person in our classroom is responsible for their own materials, work, and timeliness. We expect all assignments to be turned in on time, all materials to be maintained, and all school property treated with care (this includes books, workbooks, classroom equipment, computers, etc.).

4. PREPARED - every student should come to school each day prepared to learn and contribute to our classroom. We expect every student to have a pencil ready to go at any time. We also expect every student to have their notebook and binder reminder EVERY day. The binder reminder is a tool to keep track of assignments and activities. It should be completely and properly filled out and checked by parents each night.

5. ATTITUDE - every student will have a positive attitude toward learning. We understand that some subjects aren't favorites, but we still need to maintain a positive outlook towards our education! There are many standards to cover and we expect every student to be engaged and focused on the task at hand. Attitude is a big part of success!

We know our students will be successful in these five areas and we will reward them for doing so!!
